Convert DWG data to SHP files

I've got an As Built survey that the client needs to get in a GIS (shp) format. The survey was output as a dxcf from another survey package rather than via Civil 3D and inserted into Civil.

I've attached a sample of the data contained in the dwg - it is typically all 3D polylines and blocks so the question is how do I get this into a shp file format so it is usable?

I have tried Mapexport but not convinced I've got anything usable.

Thanks

Neil

Hey Neil.  You're on the right track.  However, you have to make a shp file for lines, then one for points.  Then you can use the bulk copy option to combine the two.  Give me about 30 minutes and I will do it for you.  I'm on the phone with Autodesk right now trying to get a license file.  After I get off the phone, I will get you taken care of.

I have a vague recollection that there is a 3D setting somewhere.
"Driver Options" possibly?

Yes, by the way @neilyj666, do you need the lines to have the elevation to them?  If so, that's not a problem.

@neilyj666 Let me know if you need these two combined.  See attached...

Thanks Todd - could you provide some step by step insturction as the data posted is only a small section of the full thing so i'll need to do it myself eventually.

Ideally I would like elevations and probably Layer information so people can see what the lines represent and I might also include the 3D triangle faces as well if that's possible (not in the file I posted though but can be exported from the original survey.

Not sure what the client ultimately wants to be able to do with the data (I think they use ArcGIS) and not sure what would need to be included to use it in that package.

Thanks for this Todd - looks easy enough so I'll try it tomorrow. I presume I can also output the Layer so that it will appear itn the data table as well?
