Contour Labeling

Hi all,

I am trying to apply contour labeling to a surface that I have created. This surface was created using a point group. When I try to apply the contour label to the contour, I am given the prompt to select a contour, but when I click, nothing appears. Here is the command prompt:

Command: ADDCONTOURLABELINGSINGLE
Select a surface <or press enter key to select from list>:
Surface:  Clay Thickness
Select contour line:  <Osnap off>
Select contour line:
Select contour line:

Please tell me what could be the issue.

Thanks in advance,

Dustin

I discovered that the the default contour labeling layer was turn off. When I turned this layer on, the contour labels appeared as random black lines. Instead, I want my contour labels to be numbers.

The problem is that the label dose not intersect any contour line. See snap.png

Try to change snap to on and ensure the contour label line intersects a contour.

Also check tat you are displaying majors and minor contour labels See cons.png.

Just drag the line until it intersects.  There is no snapping.
