Command line typing does not show...

Hello,

When I work on a relatively complex file, the command line or the dynamic input field stops regenerating. I mean when I type a command it does not appear until I move my mouse. The command is there, so when I hit enter without seeing it, it initiates and goes to the command history, but it is quite disturbing. As I see it is not an issue in case of a blank file. Any idea how to resolve it? It is not about the colours of the command line or a system variable because it works when the file is nearly empty.

Hi @c3dsolutions,   What version are you using?  Maybe it's the same problem as this and using LEVELOFDETAILOFF command will fix it.

I use Civil 3D 2018, the LEVELOFDETAIL is off as far as I know.

I have read that topic, I think it is a different issue. In my case it does not matter how many drawings are open and my command line still works, I just cannot see it. Switching between drawing also does not help.

hello,

you may also want to check the OPTIONS settings, DISPLAY, and under the Window Elements [Colors].

look at the color settings for the command line - interface elements - Color.

I worked with two guys who liked to "test" someone's cad knowledge - bad ideal for production time.

best of luck,

No, it is not about the colours, unless they change themselves during editing the drawing. When you read carefully my original post, you will see that the problem occurs in complex drawings only. If it was about the colours it would be a constant problem.

I have had a lot of lag at the command line in 2018 when the autocomplete is on. Might not be the same as what you are experiencing but you could try turning it off in the INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS to see if it makes a difference.
