Clear Corridor Bowties Command Not Working

I'm having some issues with the Clear Corridor Bowties command in Civil 3D. I've used this function with great success before, but I can't seem to figure out why it isn't working now.

 

I'm trying to model a pond grading project using a corridor. The alignment and profile is at the normal water level of the pond, and the assembly represents the pond benching towards the bottom of the pond and up to the top-of-slope of the pond. On the inside of the curve, the subassembly length causes a bowtie, but I can't seem to figure out why the Clear Corridor Bowties command won't work in this situation. It lets me go through the process like it normally would, but it doesn't modify the corridor after the command is complete.

 

I've attached a quick video showing the results.

 

Like I mentioned earlier, I've used this technique to model grading project before, and the clear Corridor Bowties command has always worked great up until now. If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

It is pretty simple to just change to a different assembly when in that curve section of your corridor.

But why not use the tools that are there? If they'll work.

Yes, I'd like to figure out why it isn't working in this situation when it's worked so well in the past.

 

Attached is another short video of the Clear Corridor Bowties command working as expected. 

 

I can't see the difference between both situations and the corridors themselves are both setup similarly (with similar subassemblies).

I've attached the .dwg if someone wants to try it as well.

 

I run Civil 3D 2018.1, and all of the subassemblies I use to model the pond bench are out-of-the-box subassemblies (no custom subassemblies). I use a target surface above the high water level to tie the proposed grading into the existing ground, otherwise, everything is built with generic links.

Thanks for trying @tcorey 

 

I tried again this morning in C3D 2019.2 with similar results, so I don't think it is software related. It must have something to do with the corridor. I'll keep working on it.

Great job Jowennl.

I had exactly the same problem.

I partially solved it, with a lot of "pain" by using offset assemblies. I will try your solution.

From what I understood, the concept is not solved. Look like a bug in the software.

I mean, why to split my assembly when Autodesk gives me the option of Right and Left in the assembly?

C3D 2021 should rectify this....

JOWENN my man that solution is almost easier than creating individual sections. Looking at it right vs left saves so many assemblies. two on the left and two on the right = four complicated assemblies vs four simple assemblies. WOW!
