Civil 3D Profile View

Hi all,

Got another C3D question for you.

Not sure which setting(s) got turned off but in our profile view, the grid, the bolded elevations (in this case 10, 15, and 20) there used to a line that was also bolded/thicker under those elevation numbers but now it is the same as the rest of the grid. Is anyone able to help me out with this problem?

See the screenshot attached/below - I have marked the lines that are supposed to be bolded/thick in pink.

Check the layers in the Display tab of the Profile View Style.

Hi @VincentSheehan

I checked the Display tab within the Profile View Style - that layer (Grid Horizontal Major) is on but the line is still not thick enough; when I plot preview it, the line shows a bit thick/bolded BUT you have to zoom in by a lot.

It was never like that before and I am not sure what has changed.

Do you have any other tips/recommendations?

Thanks!

Are you plot previewing with the correct CTB or STB?

Hi @MMcCall402 - I checked the plot styles and yes, it has been the same one I've used before.

I am not sure where else to check or do; please let me know your suggestion(s)!

I appreciate all the help. 🙂

Thank you!

In the ProfileViewStyle Display make sure the Left & Right Axis Ticks Major are set to display and use a Layer/Color/PlotStyle  which creates a heavier line.

Hi @Jeff_M - I also tried that and it still doesn't work.

When I compared the Profile View Settings to our previous profile drawings that has the grid bolded under the Left and Right Major elevation ticks - they are all the same.

I just can't seem to figure this out.

.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you all for your help - I really appreciate it.

Import the style from a drawing that displays correctly into the current drawing and overwrite the style.  That should eliminate it being a style issue.

Match the layers in the current drawing to those in a drawing that displays correctly.  That should eliminate it being a layer issue.

You've already checked the CTB being used so its not that.   ... unless its one with the same name but a different location, and its different.
