Civil 3D crashes when I try to make profile of Rails.

hi,

I've been facing this issue since few days, whenever I try to make "Quick Profile" of rails(23000 mts), Civil 3D crashes with the following error. "AutoCAD cannot continue. You can attempt to save changes into the following file up to the start of the last command: "path" After you save your changes, you can open or recover the file. Should AutoCAD"
But it creates profile if I shorten the length of R
ails.(2500 mts)

Attaching screenshot of error. Pls help.

I would make sure there are no errors in all the files. Also, what are the specs of the computer? How much RAM?

Clean the Temp folder.

c:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\

Ram: 16GB

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U with Radeon Graphics 2.30 GHz

SSD: 512 GB

Windows 10

Civil 3D 2025

I tried to make rails for 5kms and was able to make profiles for entire section but part by part.

only issue is when I try to make profile for entire stretch at a time. Issue may be because civil 3d is unable to handle longer stretch of rails.

I'm thinking it may be a RAM issue.

so here is the thing, when I create rails as feature lines, I'm able to generate quick profiles, but if I create rails using 3D polyline, I'm unable to make quick profiles.
any idea regarding this issue?

What version of Civil 3D are you using and is it up-to-date? Also, have you tried alignments?
