Civil 3d Corridor is not forming surface properly

Hi,

I have created a corridor in civil 3d and set various baseline parameters and target regions to it. when i created the corridor surface the contours show that the triangles are formed irregularly connecting the top of curb at some points.

I Have also added the featureline parameters of Back of curb, crown, ETW and top of Curb. in the surface parameter tab in the corridor properties as well.

I have attached the screenshots of the anomalies and the properties tab.

Could Anyone please guide me.

Kind regards,

VP

Delete all operations (edits you made to the surface).
Add face deflection.
Add corridor outside boundary.

hi @Dexterel,

I am using the curb and gutter subassembly, for the corridor now regarding the suggestion given by @cwr-pae and you can find it in the new  (refcorridor2_) drawing that i have attached earlier.

i tried deleting all the surface operations and also added corridor extents as the surface boundary.

still i got the same curb problem.

Kind regards,

VP

unfortunately I cant open your dwg version 2.

"The curbs should be in attached to the lane subassembly in one assembly" is bull****.

The problem is this:

You have two FL on top of each other. Civil 3D is confused to what elevation to use.

You have two solutions:

1- Add a deflection to so that curb FL-s (ETW top and bottom edge) don't seat on top of each other.

2- Build your surface from Top link only and add Overhang correction Top.

hi @Dexterel,

is this the way to add the curb deflection in curb and gutter (curb details) because i cant see any deflection tab on the properties,

And I've already made the surface from only the top links and set overhang to top as well.

still the same problem with the sruface

Kind regards,

VP
