Civil 3D 2023 .bak files ACC Docs

I'm not sure if this began with the 2023.1 update but Civil 3D is now saving (or trying to save) .bak files while working in Autodesk Docs. I remember an update last year where AutoCAD/Civil 3D 2022 would no longer save .bak files so I opened Civil 3D 2022 and it does not save .bak files. See below:

The file with the associated .bak file was saved with 2023 while the 2022_test drawing was saved with 2022. Curious if anyone else is seeing this...

Is Options > [Open & Save] Create Backup Copy with each save enabled in 2023.1?

This option is enabled in both 2022.2 and 2023.1, yet 2023.1 is the only one trying to save backup files to Docs. I can disable this option and carry on, just seemed like a bug so I might contact Autodesk. Thanks!
