I've had a few problems over the past couple of days.
I can't get the workstation to do windows updates any more. I tried a few suggestions I found online but none worked. One was to rename the Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder. I think that's about when the trouble with civil started. But I don't have any direct link. BTW. I Installed Leica Cyclone and Cloudworx about a week ago.
When I opened Civil 3D I got 2 errors that it would not Delayload Aeccuiland.arx. After trying a few suggestions from google I did a repair and then reinstall of Civil 3D. The reinstall fixed that error and things looked fine.
This morning I tried to open a file from our server and Civil wouldn't browse to our severs mapped drive. In Windows Explorer I had no problem browsing to the server. I rebooted the workstation and them could browse to the server when trying to open a drawing. Next thing that started happening is a message:
I can eliminate that by turning off UAC but don't think that's a good solution. Only AutoCAD based programs get this message. Not Revit, Navisworks, Design Review, etc. So I reinstalled AutoCAD. That didn't solve the message problem but now I can't see server in Civil again and have done multiple reboots. Now it not only doesn't it see the server to open files but doesn't pick up the template or other customization from the server. I'm still not having any problem browsing to the server with Windows Explored. I don't have a problem opening files from the server in other programs.
Strangely. Civil picks up a license from a different server with no problem.
Anyone have any idea of what is going on?
