Changing the default name of a copied subassembly

I want to generate a new subassembly by moving back a default subassembly (GenericPavementStructure) to the tool palette and changing some parameters in the tool properties. Despite changing it's name in the tool properties window, the object's name is always the original. Do you know a solution for this problem?

Hi @denes.nagy,

Are you editing the properties, grabbing the main assembly, and dragging it to the palette?

I copy a default element (in my case GenericPavementStructure) from the modelspace into a new palette. Then in it's tool properties window I modify the name and some other parameters. Back on the palette the new name of the element is represented but after putting the element to the modelspace it's name in the properties window is the original (GenericPavementStructure). Despite of this I want here the new name.

I think the problem is that I can't modify the name in the information part of the tool properties window. The name above is just showed on the palette.

Hi @denes.nagy, it'd be better if you create a new subassembly in "subassembly composer." Take advantage of that software and build that generic pavement subassembly. It's a better approach.

Regards!
