Capturing a bing map image

Hello,

I cant remember exactly but awhile ago Mike Carlson showed a trick how to save a bing capture shot with later versions of civil 3d 2016. It had something with using geolocation. 

Does anyone know where that link went?

Hi,

when you already have the areal image data visible from bing maps (using command _GEOMAP) you can then use command _GEOMAPIMAGE for a window or for a current viewport to "mount" this image into the dwg-file.

After that you can select + right-click the embedded image to change it's options:
