can we convert a poly line to profile line in civil 3d

hi friends we can convert a poly line to an aligment but if we have a simple autocad road profile and we want to convert PGL Poly Line To Civil 3d Profile Line can we do it???? Thanks

I think you will have to explode it if it's a polyline because it will only convert a line or spline.

Seems a bit outdated. That command only works with AutoCAD lines - polylines it doesn't understand, nor curves it seems.

The Profile Creation Tools themselves have always been a bit... unfriendly. Has there been much development in this area? It would be good to investigate the different profile creation methods folk have come up with.

No, only lines and splines with Civil 3D, but @Jeff_M has a solution.

@ishaq.syed7CX2A The Sincpac does have a 28 day free trial available. The PLPROFILE tool in the Sincpac will convert Polylines, 3dPolylines, Featurelines, and Projected Featurelines/Polylines, including any Vertical Curves they represent.
