Can't Create Corridor Point Section labels with Data Shortcut Corridor C3D v2020.3

Hello,

Anybody else have problems creating corridor point code labels in Section View Groups with a Corridor that is a Data Shortcut'd into a dwg?  I have found that if you data shortcut in a corridor, the code set style works, but you can't label the corridor in your section views?  Is this a bug in C3D v2020 or is this not an option with corridors that are DREF'd in?

I only have C3D v2020.3. 

I'm sorry the project has a confidentiality agreement in place, so I can't post the dwg to public forum.

The easiest way to test this is to simply create a corridor that has a subassembly with point codes.  Create a Code Set Style that has point code label styles specified for the corridor points.  Then data shortcut the corridor out to another drawing.  Drag the code set style from the source dwg and apply to the DREF corridor.  Then follow the steps outlined in the video below:

I can get this to label correctly in the Section View Group IF the corridor is in the dwg...not as a data shortcut reference.  I even tried to create a new corridor in the 2nd drawing.  Applied the same code set style and added the new corridor to my existing sample line group\section view group as an additional source...the corridor point labels turned on in the section views as expected.  However the DREF corridor only shows the link styles per the code set style...no corridor point labels.

Note that the code set style and labeling section corridor points are not related. Both work perfectly for me in 2020.4 (and did in 2020.3 previously) with dref'd corridors (the only way to do section sheets now). Except in those rare (ok, frequent) instances where the labels are on layers that have been turned off. Check styles and drawing setting layers.

I prefer labeling in the points in the code set to restrict what gets labels, even though there is no staggering.

Interesting.  I hear you and understand the difference.  It works fine for me in the source drawing...not the DREF'd dwg for some reason.

how did you create those width dims labels.  Was that based on corridor points too?

They are based on the links, organization is similar to profile vertical curve labels. In the image, I labeled the top of pavement. See in attached dwg the link label style "Section Slope Box".

I'm ashamed to admit that my problems rested in the fact that my sample lines weren't directly on my corridor frequency lines.  This is why I wasn't seeing my corridor point code labels. 

When you posted, it forced me to open the file again...the sample lines in the original dwg state was correlated with the corridor frequencies, so the labels showed up fine.  So then anyway...rookie mistake that didn't register when under the gun of a deadline. 

Happy it is working as it intended.  I agree that DREFing a corridor out for cross section sheets is the only way to go.

Sorry I may not have been clear.  I DREF'd the corridor out to the production section view sheets.  From there I created sample line groups in the production section view dwg from the alignment that came in with the DREF'd corridor.  Then I applied my code set style to the corridor and created my multi section views.
