Calculating Arisings Volume of pipe networks using Civil 3D?

Hi all, 

Is there a way of using civil 3d or possibly an add-on app to calculate the arisings that would be generated from digging out for a pipe network? 

Preferably allowing customization. for example allowances for pipe bed and surround, replacing top layer with frost material, bucket width.  and if it was very cool, being able to select rules for trench support for example everything over a metre in depth needs to be dug wider to allow for trench boxes. 

I know writing this it's a long shot but thought it was worth a go before I get to work.

I think all of that can be done with corridors and an assembly based on one of the TrenchPipe or TrenchWithPipe subassemblies. Conditional subs would help cover trench box and side slope safety issues.
