C3D2018 DXF export command not working

Anonymous

Good afternoon
I need to export a Civil 3D file in DXF to be opened in an Autocad, but when I export it it does not generate the DXF file.
This occurs only in this aquirvo.
In other files or new projects the export works perfectly and I can open the DXF project in Autocad
Can someone help me?

Hello friend-

Yes I couldn't get the DXF Export to work either in 2018...must be a bug in 2018.

Looks like you have lots of Civil Objects though in your dwg, so at first I tried to Export the source dwg to an older version (2010 or 2013) first via the Export Civil 3D Drawing command...

Then I would run the Export to DXF command off the exploded version.  Still no luck.

Then I was thinking I could open the exploded / older version in 2017 to try DXF Export again.  However, the Civil Drawing Export command would not down-save the file to a lower version for some reason.

I even have the Beta version of Civil 3D 2018 SP2, and it still worked they way described above.

Sorry man.

As a follow up I informed the Civil 3D Futures SP2 Beta team about this bug.  SP2 is supposed to be released next month.

I also wasn't able to get the DXFOUT command to work either in C3D 2018. So, my solution was to do an Etransmit of the file. I then changed file format: AutoCAD 2010 with Exploded AEC Objects. Then =>Open XXX.dwg ==>DXFOUT ==>2010DXF and it worked. I've posted the dxf. I hope this helps!
