Does anyone copy assemblies from PC to PC?

I'm deploying 2018 tomorrow and have again set up our custom assemblies for 2018. When I export the tool palette from my PC and import this into a new pc I need to remove the assemblies and drag them back in from the master drawing they were created in.

Is there a better process for doing this?

Thanks in advance!

Yep. This is why we still do this old school. A single dwg with the assemblies. We insert it as a block when needed. When the corridor is done delete the unused assemblies.

I'd also love to hear if the pallets can be shared without repopulating for each user...

Shared pallets work with in limits. We use 3 pallet groups here, 1 for corridor subs, 1 for standard drawing symbols, 1 for miscellaneous commands, blocks, etc. that don't belong in the other 2.

After pathing to the central location on each machine (can be done with a profile) each user has to add or create the pallet groups he needs and added each pallet (not individual tools). ie: create add pallet group Imperial Subs, add generic, curb, lanes, retaining walls, etc. pallets.

The export group thing tends to start adding duplicate pallets for each user so we quit using it for shared pallets.
