C3D dwg template brings data referenced pipe network structures into the dwg with the wrong style.

I am having an issue with a company drawing template. Basically, when we data reference a pipe network, one of the structures comes in as a null part style, instead of as the part that it is listed as from the parts list. All other structures come in correctly. After much trial and error, we managed to change it from coming in as a "null" part style, to coming in as a random other part style - but it is still not coming in as the correct part and we do not know what setting changed it to coming in as that random other part.

This is happening in all dwgs, but we know that the issue is in the template. We are able to fix it in each individual dwg simply by changing the part style, but would love to fix the actual problem in our template instead.

We have done the following so far, and none have worked:

  • Followed all of the below links' suggestions
  • Imported identical parts lists to both dwgs, deleted all other parts lists.
  • Editing Default Styles in Pipe Network (Edit Feature Settings)
  • Editing Default Styles/Default Structures on Settings>Pipe Network>Commands> CreateNetwork and ImportPipeNetwork and CreateNetworkReference commands.

Here are the links to the help forums we have followed so far:

We are unfortunately not able to share the template due to it being related to company documents, but any recommendations or ideas would be greatly appreciated nonetheless.

Thank you for any suggestions!

Is it possible that the definition of the part style is corrupt in the drawing template.  for example, say it is a structure that uses a block view for the plan view, if that block is somehow corrupt, perhaps it is changing to a different style because it doesnt like the block.   This doesnt explain why you can manually change the style, but perhaps it is something along those lines.
