Hello,
Overview:
One of my engineers is having an issue with C3D 2024. The computer is almost new, and well speced.
The Issue:
C3D will freeze randomly. If killed via task manager, the entire computer locks up and must be hard shutdown.
Details:
Per this article, Windows, AutoCAD, and the Nvidia graphics driver are all up to date. I also found this reddit post, that among other things, suggested turning off Hardware Acceleration. Per the commenter, this appears to have resolved the issue. However, my engineer is resistant to trying this. Setting GRIPBLOCK to 0 did not help.
Resolution(s)?
Does anyone have any ideas that aren't "reinstall C3D," "reset the profile," "switch computers" (I'll do this if I have to, but it takes way longer than it should), or reinstall <X>. Do you think forcing DX11 over DX12 will help? I doubt it, and the engineer's supervisor is already foaming at the mouth for a solution.
Thanks in advance!

Considering you have run out of ideas, why not just do it and find out?
Do they have this installed yet? ABOUT command in their C3D will confirm it for sure.

Why not start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.
