C3D 2023 Alignment Display Highlighting

Good morning.  I am working in C3D 2023, and I'm dealing with a bit of a problem/annoyance.  I have a file with corridors along a route for a shared sidewalk and bike path.  When I isolate a layer, the alignment continues to display as a bold line (see attached image).  I know it is some sort of view setting or similar because the actual alignment is turned off and not selectable.  Is there a way to turn it off?  I have target feature lines and things of that nature that I cannot see due to their proximity to this line.  Any help is appreciated @lim.wendy.  Thank you!

Hi there.  The first thing to check is........object layer of the alignment (layer the alignment is on when you select it) and compare it to the layer settings inside the alignment style on the display tab.  Isolating layers with the CAD command and Civil 3D objects is a pain in the ass due to this issue.  It is possible that maybe the layer inside the alignment style on the Display tab is set to the same layer you are picking on the objects to isolate.

Report back what you find.

Thank you, but this is not the case.  My alignment resides on layer C-ALGN-LINE (a DOT standard for this project) and the style uses the same layer.  I am aware of that issue and always try to avoid it by having objects reside on their style layers as much as possible.  I am 99% positive that it is some sort of view setting.  The alignment displays this same bold red over top of the actual entities that make it up when the layers are not isolated.  Also the boldness adapts to the zoom level so that it is always the same, unlike, say, a polyline that has a thickness assigned that looks different depending on the zoom level.  Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

....as for the boldness getting bigger when you zoom out, that is due to the Displaying Lineweights box being checked in the Lineweights dialog box.  If your type Lineweights, you will find it in there.

Thanks, I looked at that just in case, but I do not have Lineweight enabled to display.  The highlighted line does behave just like the Lineweight display, though.  Additional info - I opened the file read-only in 2020 and the bold red highlight is not there.  I also did a screenshot to better illustrate what I'm seeing in 2023.  I zoomed in at a curve and screenshot before and after a regen.  You can see the white centerline of my alignment vs this highlight.  I can work around it, but it's annoying.  I'd prefer to turn the display of it off.

It appears that this is actually a function of having a specific corridor highlighted in Toolspace.  If I click off of that specific corridor and highlight the Corridors heading in Toolspace, the highlight goes away.  I've been dealing with this for months and wish I had figured it out sooner.
