Autocad points to COGO Points - lost elevation

Was looking for some assistance in converting Autocad points to usable COGO Points. I've seen a handful of threads going over the issue, however when following the steps provided, the COGO Points created don't contain elevation. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Jackson,
Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.
Please post your drawing. Let's see what you've got.

Hello @JacksonN9HFZ

Elevation of a cogo point depends on how you, or author of the cogo point, has created the  point data to begin with. Although ALL cogo points have both x- and y-values, some have z-values (elevations) while some don't. In the case where z-value is present, it is the z-value itself which gives a cogo altitude and thereby raise to its correct feet (or meters) above mean sea level.

If the cogos are not 'raised' then you, or the original author of the cogos, (a) haven't properly provided the elevations to begin with or (b) intentionally prevented the cogos from moving away from a specified elevation.

It would be help to  know how you are creating the cogos. Better yet, upload the point file or source of your cogo points.

Hi @JacksonN9HFZ

Most possible your AutoCAD points don't have elevation information or they are not points objects.

Could you please share your file?

If you can't post the whole drawing. Posting one that has a few representative points in it would be helpful.
