alignment direction arrow

Nine times out of ten, when creating an alignment from objects, the prompt asks me to accept (or reverse) the direction of the alignment. Even when I'm zoomed out to see the entire object, no arrow appears. Is there a setting to be able to see the arrow? Or do I have to just deal with the 50-50 chance that it goes my way and reverse it later?

When selecting the object to be converted select close to the end that you want to be the beginning and it will be created that way.

The direction arrow seems to be based on the current zoom and at the middle of the chosen object, which may be off the screen and doesn't resize mid-command if you zoom out of pan.

It is due to your UCS setting being changed. try one thing change your UCS from view to world setting. arrow will appear. in my case, I get this result.

Useful little lisp app you can add in and run always. I type Arrow then prompted to select a pline to get a temp arrow direction, that way I know beforehand which way I'm heading.
