Hi all,
I wonder if you would help point me in the right direction. Let me describe my workflow so far and what im finding a little tricky;
- I Insert a georef orthomosaic with GPC's (I use mapiinsert to get this into C3D)
- Create a surface from a DEM
- Create a viewport and add a title block.
I'm all set to start drawing, however the student version i have doesn't seem to have all of the symbols so i may need to freehand some of them, Hedges for instance.
Here is what i think the next steps would be , please feel free to guide me.
I intend to use pline to trace the buildings and fences and boundaries. (all on new layers for styling later)
Use the small symbol set i have available for the trees.
Where the trees and shrubs are overlapping i shall just pline a foliage area.
General spot elevation grid over the area
Contours on from the surface and have the elevations running along them
Identify all utilities and place relevant symbols
Create a legend from the symbols used
This would give me a standard topography map i believe. I would then add the scale and it should be ready unless i'm mistaken?
How does this look for someone trying to develop a workflow who is very new to civil 3D and Autocad.
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Best
Chris
