Adjusting existing surveyed manhole elevations to a different elevation

In my network, I have placed existing surveyed manholes on the point nodes. Surveyors have gone back to the field and taken levels and got a tighter elevation on the manhole rims. I would like to edit the manhole elevation to the newly surveyed elevation. Anybody know how I can do that? Thanks

Select the manhole and type the elevation in your properties pallet. ("Rim Elevation", somewhere near the bottom.)
Or go into the part properties and look for the Rim Elevation in there.

Or are you looking for something more automated?

If the manholes read to the surface you can add the points to the surface and delete the old one or you can just take the information and adujst the elevation rim accordingly and not have it read to the surface.

To do the last one.  Just click on the manhole->Right Click->Structure Properties.  Make sure the "Automatic Surface Adjustment" is set to false and type in the elevation.

What happens when you need to show EG and FG elevations for a manhole lid that is being raised?   It's important to show both elevations so the contractor can know at a glance how much they need to raise the lid.  I am not aware of any way to show both elevations automagicly.  Are you?

I don't know of any way to make one item show two elevations.
A possibility is to use a cogo point for one or both elevations. But I know that's not what you want.

If you have an EG and an FG Surface you can create a Surface Label that shows both.

For Cogo Points it gets a little tricky. You'd need duplicate points and a Point Label Style that shows the MH and the existing elevation (either shot or from Surface). Then another Pt Label  for the Elevation from FG that only shows the elevation in a position offset from the EG Pt Label.

If you tell us what data you're working with. Something else might occur to someone.

Perhaps I am posting to the wrong thread.  I'm looking for a way to show both elevations to the same structure label.  I'm sorry for any confusion.

No. Right forum. You needed to specify Structure Labels. A lot of labeled in Civil 3D.

Unfortunately I don't know hot to do that.

It would take a bit of work to test this, but I wonder if you added a reference text component to your label, if this could work.
So, one part of the structure label displays the actual structure rim elevation, and the reference text displays a surface elevation or cogo point elevation.
I'm not sure of all the finer details of setting this up, just throwing ideas at the wall.
