Add raised building pad to proposed surface

What’s the best process for adding in a raised building pad to a FG proposed surface that has already been created and not effect the previously created contours?

On one side of the building pad, the finished grade is about 4’ lower than the top of building pad. I am not wanting to change those contours, but add the FFE to the surface for uploading to the dozer machine control.

That doesn't sound possible. By adding anything to the Surface. You are affecting the Surface. A Building "Pad" usually slopes down to a Surface. You could show what sounds like it might be a foundation by draping a Featureline on the Surface just outside the FFF. Then create the FFF as a Featureline and add it to the Surface.

Draw a boundary around the building pad with a polyline, offset it 0.1' outside of the building.  Create a Featureline out of this polyline and get elevations from the FG surface as it is originally. Add this FL and one for the building pad to the FG as breaklines.

Thank you for the help. What type of break line would I call use? I tried standard and non destructive and it still made contours through and didn’t keep the building pad FFE

Standard should work. Make sure the breaklines do not cross each other and that the FL for the building is entirely enclosed by the outer one.  And make sure you are not crossing other FL that were already there.
