Accessibility options for AutoCAD or civil 3D

Hello, I have limited use of my hands due to severe rheumatoid arthritis and I am wondering if there are any ways to control AutoCAD or civil3D using voice commands instead of using the mouse and keyboard.

Hi @jghockenbury5335, Welcome to the Autodesk Civil 3D forums. If you are using Windows 11 you can enable your speech recognition here...

Once you do that, a new bar will appear at the top of your screen. This is the voice access bar. If you are using multiple screens, make sure you place the Civil 3D window in the same screen where this bar appears and maximize it (C3D). It should look like this...

Once you get that you are all set to start talking. Activate the mic I circled in the image (you can do it with your voice, no need to click) then, you can start giving orders to windows, like... write Polyline, hit enter, click menu...and so on.

I know a couple people with arthritis and have used track pads or trackballs instead of ice and it works pretty well for them as with the wrist brace they can keep it fairly straight and still be productive
