2027.1 Pipe Network Tools Issue

Since installing the 2027.1 Update to Civil 3d, I no longer can access the "Network Layout Tools" that pops up when creating and/or editing a Pipe Network. The tools pop up, but it's stuck in a collapsed pinned state, which the tool is set to pinned or unpinned. I've tried in new drawings, existing drawings, tried repairing my installation, everything... About to uninstall this worthless update until they issue a fix to resolve it.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the new update? If so, were you able to resolve it, or just as frustrated as I am?

For the first time in 20 years I have not installed the latest versions of ACAD and C3D. I can't trust Autodesk enough to work through issues with the latest version like I used to. No one, neither users nor Autodesk, have been able to tell me that installing the 2027 versions won't affect current projects on Forma (ACC). No one has been able to show that Autodesk has fixed the defect where styles created in C3D 2026 aren't backwards compatible in reference templates. Nor has anyone been able to show if Desktop Connector 2027 works fine with the name change of Autodesk Docs and ACC to Forma. The sheet set manager was broken with C3D 2026.1 on Forma (ACC) when they integrated the broken SSM for Web and Autodesk has not released any information on a fix nor even acknowledged the major issues with it.

I wish I could help you. Maybe others are brave enough to use the latest POS from Autodesk.

Man, I bite the bullet and update to the new version every year, for 20-years as well; since Land Development Desktop. And every year, they fix a host of issues, add some good new features, but overlook a other host of things that they broke in the process. Then they issue updates to fix some of the issues that people scream about most, still overlooking things that are still broke. Then they issue more updates throughout the year, fixing various issues, and by the time most everything is fixed... bam, the new version is released and the process starts all over again. 2026 was great, straight 'out of the box'. Honestly, I did not have any issues with 2027 and it had been great, until I installed the 2027.1 Update.

Appreciate the response and I share your sentiment. My guess is that it's a glitch in their coding and may only cause the issue if the Tool was set to 'pinned' in the previous session, before the update was installed. However, I will not be uninstalling/reinstalling the software to put this theory to the test. It's also weir that this is the only popup tool that it happens to; and just so happens to be the one I use on a daily basis.

Blows my mind how much we pay for this software and rely on it to make a living, yet Autodesk barely seems to acknowledge issues we're having; or they just let their worthless AI system handle it, or tell you they'll 'notify the development team of the issue'. I've never understood how they take their software, after spending all year fixing, break it, and then release it to they're users as "new and improved". But I guess when you have a monopoly on the market, what does it matter, their customers won't go anywhere.

I did open a Support Ticket, on top of the Forum Post, but I don't expect that to go anywhere.
