2025 Loading Profile

Since I installed 2025 I can't get my preferred profile to load upon start. I have loaded my CUI from 2024 and that's all good however when I start 2025 I get the standard <<C3D_Imperial>> profile Load each time over my preferred profile. I have set it up in my desktop shortcut just like I had in 2024 where I add the /w "Robert Profile" to the end of the properties target, but it will not load, (I thought this was used to load a workspace and not an actual profile.) 

Is using the /w loading a workspace and NOT the profile. Does the profile load in order of where it lies in the available profiles? 

How do I get my desired profile to load upon start? If I delete the <<C3D_Imperial>> Civil re-creates it upon a new start.

I've used the /p switch within the icon properties to specify which profile is set to default:

I'm not familiar with the /w, is that for specifying workspaces?

Thanks a million. That was it. I had no idea the profile prompt was in the middle of the target path. I assumed it was added on the end so when I would add the /p "<>" the startup would read the first profile and ignore my desired profile. In the past I simply had to set all my options to the standard <<C3D_Imperial>> profile and let that load each time. Finally, after many a decade. Big KUDOS to you sir.

Also YES, the /w will load any workspace you want on startup. I can have a few shortcuts on my desktop one for office work, home, and a training screen space that I use when I connect to a big TV in the conference room. Or just set any new workspace once C3D is open

can someone explain what you need to replace in the string to get your profile to pop in when starting cad.  i had someone do this for me years ago and now i just upgraded and i dont remember what all i have to type in and replace what.

My Profile i saved is KAY_2025.  if someone can just give me a snipit or something so i can replace what i need to correctly.  i have tried a few things and it comes up that mine doesn't exist???

this is mine now.

You've pretty much got it, but you'll need to delete the "<<" before & ">>" after your profile name.  Typically those are only found in the default <<Imperial>> or <<Metric>> profiles.
