2022 Pressure Pipe Run Profiles

Having trouble add Pipe Runs to the Profile, seems to want to add the Pipe Network (all pipes in that network). If I want just the pipe in that run I need to add them manually. Also if I draw pipe parts to profile it will bring the entire pipe network also.

Please let me know if you have questions.  Or let me know if I'm messing something.

Added some clarification: 

I’m having trouble adding Pressure Pipe Runs to the Profile views, Civil3d seems to want to add the Pipe Network (all the pipe runs in that network).  If I want to just add the pipes/structures in a run I need to add them manually ”selecting them via the profile view Pipe Networks Tab”.  Also if I draw pipe parts to profile it will bring the entire pipe network (all the pipe runs in that network).

Please let me know if you need more info/detail.

As far as I know that is a deficiency of the new methods - there is no way to add just a pipe run besides: Add the entire network and unchecking the boxes of parts you do not want to show; Adding the entire network and erasing the parts you do not want to show, or by Selecting the parts you do want to show in plan view and use Draw parts in profile view from the rt-click context menu.

Pipe runs is a nice idea - or rather the idea of using H/V alignments to control creation of the network is, but I don't think it was well thought out in terms of using it in daily production. Disappearing runs still happens all the time (I think there must be "rules" a run must abide by or it is automatically deleted, but A-desk hasn't let us in on that), profile labeling has become more difficult if you do not set a reference alignment for a run before creation, switching pipe sizes in a network has become more difficult (try adding a reducer to a run), you can't connect one network to another (in the case that you use one network per street), etc.

Thank you for the conformation and your time. I was having problems with thing disappearing in 2020 and the suggestion was to move to 2021 or 2022.

The issues and more still are around in 2022. There is a problem with reading older parts list in 2022 as they have changed the way it works - something about using more than one parts list at a time. Great, but that conflicts with accessing/editing networks created in previous versions. it's a fine kettle of fish.

Usually they have the pipes separated by street so I know which ones to turn on.

This from a sewer designer who puts our water pipes in her PP sheets. I never thought of the other people who have to use our data. This is turning into a PITA.

That's what I'm seeing. I'm thinking the same, "will be hard to know what go with what profile view etc."  Not very happy with the Pressure pipe networks.

I have found a command on the contextual tab "Pipe Run Profile". This allow you to select/show pipe run's for that profile.  I was having the problem described above when I was using the "Create Surface Profile" from the "Create Design" panel.
