2016 Edit Existing Text

Hello!

Have a quick question regarding text editing in Civil3D 2016!  When I have existing text that I have to modify, i can't see it, unless I create a whole NEW mtext.  If I create a new one, it comes up Green, if i try to edit existing, it comes up 250, the color of all existing entities. I really would like to get past creating a whole new text, or changing color of existing one if I can help it! I tried fishing around in options, but can't tell which one would help this!  Thank you in advance for you advice!!!!!

hello and welcome to the forum

I would isolate the Mtext (if possible) and then change the backgroud color to white, so you can see the text.

the color can be controled in the Text Formatting for Mtext; just expand the box for color, it can be bylayer, byblock or any color you choose.

and welcome again, there is a whole lot in here - enjoy.

You are very welcome.

sometimes you have to back to basic Autocad to get things done.
