Viewport Scaling Issue

I recently got a CAD file from another company and noticed in paper space when setting up the scale for printing in the dialog box that it says: 1 paper Millimeter = 1 drawing Millimeter. I have never gotten a file from somebody else with this setup like that. How do you change this back to: 1 paper Inch= 1 drawing Foot? It is such a specific question I couldn't find a solid answer just by googling.

I don't know, this is just a guess.

What happens if you type units at the command and see if this is a metric dwg.

I have already tried everything you have mentioned but thanks for the input. In all my years of doing CAD I have never seen a setup like this. I am more curious than anything. Seeking knowledge. I solved it by creating a new drawing and copy and pasting but that doesn't tell me how they set that up in the first place.
