System.Windows.Interactivity.dll problem

Hi

Some of our WPF dialogs need System.Windows.Interactivity.dll - we ship it, and found it's also in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 202X\C3D\Dynamo\Core, so it is loaded from there in preference to the one we ship.  I would be OK with that if the one in the C3D folders wasn't 0 bytes in size!  We don't know how it became like that, or whether it was even like that all along.  Has anyone else had an experience with this?

I am not sure I understand what your question is: are you saying that the System.Windows.Interactivity.dll found in the folder of "...\C3D\Dynamo\Core\" is 0 bytes in size? Does it happen in only one computer/only one C3D version, or all C3D versions/all computers of yours/your users?

I have 2 computers with various versions of C3D installed, the sizes of System.Windows.Interactivity.dll are all not 0 bytes.

Hi,

are you saying that the System.Windows.Interactivity.dll found in the folder of "...\C3D\Dynamo\Core\" is 0 bytes in size?

yes that's correct.  Across our team, I think 4 of us have reported a file size of zero, and the other 3 have the DLL which looks correct (approx 55kb)

Weird, on my machine:

C3D 2022 has that dll with a size of 55kb

C3D 2023 has that dll with a size of 0kb

C3D 2024 does not have that dll.

I would try renaming it and see if Dynamo still works, if you even use it.

thanks Jeff that's interesting to know, and reassuring that it's not us somehow causing that DLL to go to 0 bytes in size!

We don't use dynamo; the problem really for us is that because the file is 0 bytes, we can't show our application dialogs in Civil 3D.  I'm slightly anxious about telling our users that the workaround is to delete or rename a DLL which isn't ours but that does seem like the only option at the moment!
