How to switch off assembly insertion points

This is probably very simple, but as per usual it's impossible to find what you want because everything is buried in a sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub section of somewhere completely different to what you're working with.

But I digress ... off on a little tangential rant there.

What I need to do is switch off the display of insertion points (the lovely big purple circles) in an assembly. Specifically, I absolutely NEED to change how the assembly is shown in corridor cross sections.

Any ideas?

Under Settings: General -> Multipurpose Styles -> Marker Styles and then
turn off the graphics of the marker style.

You could also make a "Code Set Style" that would use a style that has the
markers turned off. This would provide a style that is displayed when you
are making the assemblies, and another that is hidden for cross sections.

BUT whoever programed Civil3D did not know engineering.

how do i get rid of the useless circles on my cross sections?

the circles are at every pi/intersection for the assembly.

Welcome t to the forums! Responding to 8 year old posts in a forum is usually not something you'd want to be doing. And when responding to ask a question which was actually answered in the post that you were responding to is really not a good thing. 🙂 As Peter said back in July of 2007, edit/change the Code Set to not show the markers on the Points. C13, I fully understand that, as I am self taught in C3D, too. If you are unsure of how, or where, to edit the Code Sets, you could start by searching for that in the forum I linked to previously. Then, if you don't get any hits from the search, go a head and post a new question there asking about that specific thing. There are MANY of us who started out just like you, and we are happy to help.

I have felt your pain too. Wasted about 2 hours just trying to get those stupid little magenta circles to disappear. Read lots of other posts supposedly solving it, none of them worked but the solution did here. Autodesk - your organisation for civil 3D display is really really convoluted and extremely annoying. I can do the design ok, great however I would say, with no word of exaggeration, 80% of my time is spent (or more correctly 'WASTED'!) just learning how to display the bloody design ...just on getting the display correct, generally with the sections. For example - if I have magenta circles on my section so why can't I just click them and have properties for them show up instead of having to find it buried somewhere under some totally not obvious settings header buried deep away somewhere? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
