file compression --> C3D dwg file??

Is the civil 3D dwg file compressed? The write time to the dwg file seems slow - and I thought maybe they use file compression and that is the lag. Does anyone know?

Hi,

yes, DWG-files are compressed (the current versions) and it makes no difference if they are saved by Civil3D or ACA or plain AutoCAD. If they would not be compressed they would be as large as the memory is consumed when the drawing was opend (of course: about, not exactly).
