Civil 3D Interops Compatility in C3D 2020 ?

We are contemplating at work to migrate our 2019 codes that contain both .NET and COM (25%) Interops of Autocad and Civil 3D. I know the managed .NET will present no problems, but i have not tested the legacy Interops (e.g. Autodesk.AECC.Interop.*, and Autodesk.AutoCAD.*).

Where can i find any information about compatibility of legacy Interops of Civil 3D 2020? Has anyone tested them yet?

Is it worth migrating all COM codes to managed .NET codes?

Thanks,

My COM code still works fine in C3D 2020. As long as you use the "Embed Interops" option in VS and use the non-specific year to instantiate them, you should be fine.

Thanks for reply.

Just want to clarify, did you not need to re-attach the 2020 versions, which means those interops are from previous version?

Thanks,

No, the interops are from 2020, but in the older versions (starting with C3D 2013 perhaps?) I made sure the interop references had the Embed Interop Types set to true. Now, every new project that I bring forward automatically finds the new Interops. I DO have to change the references for the C3D .NET assemblies.

But all of the tools using C3D COM still work without needing any changes to the code.
