Hi
I have a problem with the fingers after using the CharacterGenerator_FbxToBiped.ms script. The problem I have is when I import ".bip" files the fingers get all distorted, like if they are rotated by 90 degres. On the images you see that the finger are on the side. The finger are ok until you import a .bip file, any bip file, old and new.
Any idea?

Hi,
I tried it on my side and the fingers are ok for me.
Just in case, can you check and make sure that when you import your character in 3dsMax, the "Current Preset" option is set to "Autodesk Media & Entertainment" and that the "File content" is set to "Add and update animationthe FBX Import.
Can you also send me one of the character you are having a problem with.
I'll try it on my side.
Best regards
Sophie
Here is the max file of a character made idnCharacter generator and then converted to biped with autodesk Script and with the bip file applied to it.
Hi,
Thanks a lot. I can finally reproduce the issue.
The problem was sent to our development team to look at it.
Best regards
Sophie
Just to confirm that I have also had the same issue. I tried again, making sure the settings conformed to the recommendations in this thread and the fingers were still rotated by 90 along their length. It's not too big a deal to work around, but I'm eager for the fix as well. Thanks!
I'm facing the same issue.
Does anyone find a quick fix ?
Does the Autodesk team have some update on this ?
