Consolidating Star Notifications for Repositories in User Feeds

I would like to suggest a feature that groups star notifications for the same repository within user feeds. When one of my projects receives increased attention, my homepage is quickly overwhelmed by countless notifications, making it difficult to notice any pertinent updates as they are buried beneath a flood of "this user starred your repo" alerts. It would be far more efficient if these notifications could be aggregated, displaying a message like "23 users starred your repo" as a single entry. This would streamline the feed and align with notification practices on other social platforms. Can we explore the possibility of implementing this feature?

Great suggestion! Consolidating star notifications would definitely help keep the feed cleaner and make it easier to track meaningful updates. It's frustrating to sift through so many alerts just to find important notifications. I hope the team considers this—it would enhance the user experience significantly!

Hi there!

I completely resonate with your suggestion! Consolidating star notifications for repositories would be a fantastic improvement. It can be really overwhelming to see a flood of individual notifications when a project gains traction, and having them grouped together would definitely help in managing our feeds more efficiently.

Displaying a summary like "23 users starred your repo" would not only declutter the homepage but also allow us to focus on other important updates without losing track of engagement on our projects. This kind of feature aligns well with how notifications are handled on other platforms and would enhance the overall user experience.

I’d love to see this feature explored further! Thanks for bringing it to attention!

Best regards
