Solver: Time per iteration significantly drops after some iterations

Dear Forum,

I have an issue with multiple machines (University seminar):
We are running a simple wind analysis in 3D. On some machines, the solver runs as expected for the first 20-30 iterations but then the time for each consecutive iteration drops significantly (several minutes). It seems to affect mainly newer and more powerful laptops. Is this due to some CPU settings?

The program works properly in all other aspects.
We are using Autodesk CFD Ultimate 2024 on educational licences.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @akorner .

You need to avoid using the E-cores (efficiency cores) in the computer because they are not very efficient. 🙂 See Very slow simulation for Autodesk CFD with newer Intel processor.
