I urgently need your help to simulate the effect of a float-type steam trap in a system. Since the steam trap functions as a valve, I simulated its behavior using a rotating disc that stays open for 0.2 seconds and closed for 0.8 seconds.

 

The working fluid is water (steam). This fluid will be in motion at some times and stationary at others, depending on the valve's position. Therefore, I need to simulate the heating of a plate that is internally heated by this movement. The main difficulty is that the transient thermal behavior is very long, about 5 hours, whereas the fluid simulation is not. Does anyone have any ideas on how to reduce the time of this computational simulation? I am also sending the file in case anyone can help.
