Recover lost data

Hello everyone,

I did a transient simulation with the purpose to animate the results. But since CFD crashed and every saved timestep is lost and I am not able to check them  in the animation toolbox.

Is there a way to recover the data ?

Thank you !

Regards

Phillip

Hi @s67470 Phillip,

Would you please confirm that you can see the *.res.t# files in your solver folder?

If they are still all in this folder, then we can proceed to recover them in the next step. If you do not see them, they are unfortunately lost.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Amal

Hi Amal,

thank you for your response. The .res.# are still there - nothing is lost.

Greetings

Phillip

Hi Phillip,

Check out the article here: Recovering Lost Results, make a copy of the folder before you start messing with it also 🙂

Method 2 ought to work I think. If not, then please feel free to try the others.

Thanks,

Jon
