Hi all,
I have been using CFD 2017 for a while now and have two licensed seats. I have been successfully running sims on my laptop and recently tried (and failed) to install CFD on a networked PC. Since this attempt the copy on my laptop now gives the following error (See attached).
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
I think this is a different issue to what others are seeing as you had a working licence. If you go to 'licencing' within CFD, can you see what licences are available?
Thanks,
Jon
Hi Tim,
No problem, glad I could help 🙂
For this issue - it looks like you only have a design study environment and no solver licence? Is this a student licence though? (We have been having some fun with these as you can see from the other thread).
Regarding the other machine, did you try right clicking to run the installer as 'admin'?
It might also be that CFD did not fully uninstall the first time, let's try the first idea and go from there.
Thanks,
Jon
Hi John,
Do you know if the problems with educational liscences have been resolved? my teaching labs workflow ground to a halt a week ago and i'm dying to get CFD running again!
Cheers
Hi,
As far as I know, yes. Could I ask you to take a look at this article to see?
Thank you,
Jon
