'Half' sine wave for transient input

Hi,

I'm looking at joule heating effects of 5Hz AC and need a specific way to control transient apmerage.

My conductor only sees the positive half of the current waveform so instead of an input like this:

Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 amp1__Design 1 - 3 layer insulation__Amps at 5hz_2014-10-28_16-28-40.gif

..I need this:

Microsoft Excel - Book1_2014-10-28_16-30-17.gif

Can I create the above as a transient current time curve?

Thanks,

Jon C.

Hi,

I think the only way will be a piecewide linear and to enter the points manually.

Unless anyone else has a suggetion as to how we can acheve this using the available methods?

Will a peicesise curve repeat automatically or should I enter enough cycles of the wave for the full simulation time?

It will not, no. You can set it to with the 'repeat' button though 🙂
