Hi to all,
I was just checking if I can run a Simulation as frozen rotor and now I am wondering that I cannot find the flag. Is this still available in CFD2016 / 2017?
Thnx in advance,
kippo

Hi Kippo,
The FrozenRotor flag is still there 🙂
Please go to the Flag Manager > Select a scenario > Right-click in the right side blank > Add...>FrozenRotor
Does this help?
Thanks,
Amal
Hi Amal,
thanks a lot... I shouldn't have slept during training 🙂
well, o.k.. I am in the flag Manager, adding the new flag FrozenRotor, then a warning comes up: No flag with this Name can be found. Check the flag Name... blabla.
closing the windows and setting the variable to 1 then the Program crashes with the typical request of sending an email...
hmm....
Change Operator?

Hi Kippo,
Please check out the attached video 🙂
Are you able to do the same?
Amal,
Hi Amal,
with CFD 2016 this is not possible...
I cannot get the flag. Have you put it as a new flag in CFD 2017?
I do not use CFD2017 as I got problems during run of 2017 that I could not access the results anymore after simulation...
(I tested CFD2017 last year and after the first service pack release, but after a simulation I could not get the results, running in the GUI closing and re-open it, I could not get to the results, too...)

Hi Kippo,
Thanks for your feedback.
Can you please go to the installation folder of CFD 2017 and CFD 2016, and run CFDConfig.exe as administrator? Then, please check if you are still having the same issue.
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Amal
Hey,
i am using CFD 2018.
The flag is not available in any list.
Even after running CFDConfig.exe as administrator.
Best regards
Bastian
Hello,
I was not able also to find this flag when I switched CFD 2018 to German. Otherwise, it's working fine in the English UI.
I will make sure to escalate this issue to the Development Team. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Amal,
Hey,
do i need to install the english UI or is it possible to by changing the language is somehow?
Best regards
Bastian
Hi Bastian,
When you run CFDConfig.exe as administrator, you would be prompted to choose a language from a list. You just need to switch from German to English and select Next.
Please make sure before doing this to close all the windows of CFD 2018.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Amal
