External Compressible Flow

Hi,

I am trying to run an external compressible flow over a model rocket. I am not understanding why the TED and TKE aren't converging. Is there any way to help with this problem? I think this is the main reason I am having diverging problems.

I have created an external volume around the model with boundary conditions at the inlet:

T = 25 deg C

P = 0 Pa (gage)

Vel = 2232 ft/s

Outlet: Unknown

Also, should I be adding any other boundary conditions than from the ones below?

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! How large is your fluid domain? Did you make it following these best practices? Are you using the K-w SST turbulence model? 

How do you know the turbulence residuals never converge? Does the  model eventually diverge?
