Error: Direction vector in MVE file has zero length

This is my first time performing a free surface analysis.  When I try to solve, I get the error message "A direction vector in the mve file has a zero length".  Can anyone help???!!!

Hi Anthony,

Can you zip up your cfz file and attached it to this case?

Thanks, Dave

Dave,

Sorry for the delayed response.  I've attached the cfz file.

Best,

Hi Anthony,

I loaded you cfz file and noticed that you orbit axis is defined as (0,0,0), which yield the zero length that the error message is complaining about.  I changed the Orbit axis to (0,1,0) and the analysis ran fine.

Dave,

Thank you for the quick response.  I did not realize it required a value, as the impeller is not orbiting.  Thank you for your help!

Tony
