Electronics Cooling Tutorial - Solver hanging issue

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm working through the Electronics Cooling tutorial and when I get to the stage of running the simulation, the solver doesn't manage to perform all the iterations before exiting and displaying the error message "The Analysis has stopped because the Solver has exited unexpectedly" (see attached for a screen print of the error message).

The first time I ran the solver it managed to do about 200 iterations before this message was displayed.  I have since re-run the solver and it picks up where it failed previously, but only manages a further 3 or 4 iterations before failing again.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Anonymous  Welcome to the forum community.

As you are performing the tutorial model, I suspect there may be a chance, you might have missed any steps(parameter/boundary conditions)

I have attached the tutorial model with the setup which has convergered results and solved for 300 iterations(49 additional iterations only for heat transfer)

If the attached model also gives back the same Error, you might want to get to the below article and look for the relevant issue faced in your system(look for Problem 1, 3 and 6)

"The Analysis has stopped because the Solver has exited unexpectedly".

I had some problem in attaching the model. "Here" is the one drive folder where you can access the model which I ran for 300 iterations.
