Difference between Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 CFD Motion and CFD Flex

Whats the basic difference between Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 and CFD Motion.

I already have installed Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 which shows Motion Icon in the ribbon bar . My doubt is weather CFD Motion is entirely different package from Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 or not.

Does my Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 serves all the purpose of motion simulation which" CFD Motion "can simulate .

Similarly i have the similar doubt of CFD Flex and Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015.

Here is a comparison between the different levels of CFD. They are all the same install and the availablity of functionality is driven by the licence file that you have installed:

Sim Flex has cloud functionality so you can solve multiple models in parallel on the cloud.

I have inserted the screenshots of the package what i have Autodesk Simulation CFD 2015 with motion icon,

So will there be any difference or not when compared specifically with CFD Motion capabilities..

One more thing as compared to other cfd programs like star ccm how does Autodesk simulation cfd compare.

Both package do entirely the same work or star ccm + is better and have upper hand over Autodesk Simulation CFD.

Pl help me in this regard because i am getting confused as to which package to start learning with.

people say Star CCM + is industry standard and followed in many firms whereas Autodesk simulation cfd is taking over slowly.

You have CFD Motion so will have the full motion capabilities 🙂

As for comparisions between different packages, I might be a little biased!

It really depends on what you are modelling, if you can share a little of what you need I can let you know if our solution is suitable. I can also put you in touch with a colleague from our technical sales team if you wanted a discussion off of the forum.
