CFD 2018 crashes on startup

Hi,

I have CFD 2018 installed (installation went perfectly well), but a fatal error occurs during startup before the application even opens.  The error report indicates that there was an improperly handled exception, but I went through all the suggested fixes described here (including uninstall/reinstall) and the problem still persists.  Is there any possible resolution to this problem? My computer is an XPS13 running Windows 10.

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! What's the error you are getting? Can you attach a screenshot? Have you tried running as admin? Reinstalling?

I've tried running as admin and reinstalling several times, to no avail.  I also had the same issue when attempting to run CFD 2019 previously, but issues installing/reinstalling that led me to try CFD 2018, hence my current predicament.

Hi @Anonymous,

Which download method did you select. Some customers have experienced issues with Install Now and Download Now. We suggest using the browser download option.

Please try uninstalling the products completely and having a go with browser download.
