hello,

i use autodesk cfd 2017/2019  and i want to set the air density with scalar variations(piecewise linear variation , 0 and 1),but i meet the problem that cannot save above two values and when come back to change the air density property to be vary, the software will cash....how to sovle this? i attach the cfz file for any check...

Hello,

I used the model you posted and had no issues setting the density as a function of scalar.

A couple of points:

1- In the image you included in the post it shows that the material database is Default whereas in your model it is set to Local.  Local is correct.

2- You want to set the environment to Variable, not Fixed.

See image below.

Also, please try the attached model.

hello,
thanks...of course, setting above two scalar value shows well, but when i click running simulation, then i got a notice that the scalar setting is empty, that‘s very strange....you may have try to check if got the same problem...

Hello,

I am able to run the analysis here.

Where are you saving the model?  Is it on the local hard drive or some network drive?

If on network please try saving locally and see what happens.

Hi Marwan,
can you offer a remote control to check my desktop setting and solve the problem?

The reason why the Density vs Scalar data you enter in the table is not being saved is the following:

You are entering data starting row 2 and leaving row 1 of the table blank.

It's an easy mistake to do but that is what's happening.

Make sure to start entering data in the table starting from row 1 as seen in image in post above.
