Account Username/ID Settings Help

Hi there,

I've currently got an a360 account registered with my company, however I think I created an account with the same email address previously (and used a typical username I would on other forum spaces etc. The username itself is not inappropriate by itself, however it's not overly appropriate in a corporate environment when work sharing with colleagues in other offices. I typically use REVIT and in the top right corner of the REVIT window, my originally chosen username shows up (only when logged into a360).

I'd like to change my screen name to my actual name so it's more appropriate in a work environment and also so people will know it's me who has made changes on a project. However, I can't figure out how to - I've searched around and tried logging into "accounts.autodesk.com" and when clicking on the 'Security' tab, I'm not given the option to change my username/autodesk ID/screen name.

Has anyone had this issue before or know how to change the name showing up in the top corner of my screen when running REVIT?

EDIT - It is evidently also my username on the forums. Would rather my name be changed to my real name..

Hi Alex,

Thanks for posting your question and I think I can help you out. It's not really an A360 Question, it's a question about your identity in your Autodesk account.    You want to go to the Autodesk Accounts portal and change your Screen Name to be your actual name, or something you want to see.

Click on Profile and select Edit.  

Then find your Screen Name below and change it. 

Then save your changes.

Hi Bud,

Thanks for the response. I've managed to change my screen name to the desired option, however I think I was more after changing my username ("surfking") to something a little more work appropriate..I'm currently working on several REVIT models and that is the name which shows up to other users when I have control over several model elements..

Do you know if there is any way to change that one?

Hi Alex,

From what I can see, you would need to do this in the Autodesk Accounts page. Click on the "security settings" and then change your Username.  I would have expected that to be the same as Screen Name, but it does not display the same.
