Hi All, I have a Revit model with a set of options for a layout on my ground floor. I want to share the model and allow those receiving the model to be able to view all the options via BIM 360 Docs. Whats the best way of doing this?

Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for your post. My name is Bogdan and I am with Autodesk Technical Support.

What options are we talking about? Did you share the model from Docs with other users and that did not work?

Could you please provide us with more details about this issue?

Best regards,

Bogdan

I can see the broadness of the question now.

I am referring to design options.

Hi @sarah.evered

I am not a Revit specialist, but as far as I know, it's always been that different design option couldn't be assigned to individual sheets. So, after activating a design option, you would see that in all views and sheets.

So, I would say that we can publish whatever design option is active at the time of publishing.

To make sure I've provided you with the correct answer, I will try to clarify this with the team and get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience.

Best regards,

Bogdan

Hi @sarah.evered

I've double checked with my colleagues in the Revit team and, yes, we can only publish the design option that's active/current at the time of publishing.

Also, I found this article on the Autodesk Knowledge Networks, so I guess we've got our answer: Which options are made available when publishing to BIM 360.

Please feel free to log this as an enhancement request on the BIM 360 Ideas dashboard, I am sure a lot of our community members will vote it up.

If my post answered your question, thank you for accepting it as a solution, so that other users can find it and use it easily.

Best regards,

Bogdan
